Introduction to Filmmaking

Sessions: 5, Wednesday 8.00pm - 10.00pm

Description of job roles within film industry and intro to camera (hands on practical use). Intro to equipment – camera, sound, tripod, boom etc. Story and structure: Learner’s work within their groups to come up with ideas for a short film (2/3 minutes).  Film Production: The groups will shoot their scripted films.  Intro to editing: The groups will edit their films adding music, sound effects.  Presentation and viewing:  Following this, their films will be viewed and discussed.
